We highly recommend using our foundations and frame because we know they provide the perfect support for the Big Fig. However, using our foundation and frame isn't required. You can use your existing accessories, like your own box spring, foundation and/or frame as long as it meets the following warranty requirements: Foundation, box spring and/or frame must have proper weight capacity to accommodate the collective weight of mattress and sleeper(s) Slatted bases/box springs must have a minimum of seven (7) rigid cross slats or a maximum distance of two (2) inches between slats Bed frames must have a rigid center support (running from head to foot) and at least five (5) support legs that make contact with the ground

Is A Box Spring The Same Thing As A Foundation?

While the terms ‘box spring’ and ‘mattress foundation’ are sometimes used interchangeably, they’re not the same.
